Anne Hathaway snagged an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in "Les Misérables,” but it was her nipples that stole the show. Anne wore a pale pink Prada gown with darts that brought all eyes to her chest. According to a Feb. 26 Yahoo! Movies report, the Prada dress was a last minute substitution – one Hathaway is now apologizing to Valentino for making.
Anne has been friends with Valentino for years and originally planned on wearing a dress the designer made her. However, she learned late Saturday night that Amanda Seyfried was wearing a very similar gown by Alexander McQueen.
Hathaway issued a public apology to Valentino through People magazine, saying she “deeply regrets any disappointment caused” by switching to another dress at the last minute. The designer and Anne have both boasted about their close, personal friendship. He even designed Hathaway’s wedding gown.
Anne was quick to add that she also loved the Prada dress she wore, as to now step on any toes with that design house. Anne Hathaway didn’t mention the nipple issue in the statement.
