Anne Hathaway apologizes to Valentino for her Oscars dress swap. According to Hello Magazine, the actress is a dear friend of the designer. She was last seen vacationing with him in December. It shocked everyone when she chose a pale pink silk gown by Prada. The news of Anne’s public apology was released on Feb. 27.

Anne apologized to Valentino. In her statement, she admitted that another actress was to wear a dress similar to the Valentino gown at the Oscars. Amanda Seyfried showed up on the red carpet in a similar gown designed by Alexander McQueen.

Hathaway said that she had to change her plans. That’s why she chose Prada for her Oscars gown. She admitted that she it was a difficult last-minute decision to make. Hathaway contacted celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe to guide her in the decision.

The "Les Miserables" actress revealed on the red carpet she didn't know what designer she was wearing until two hours later. She frantically tried on a lot of dresses that way. She said that she loved the simplicity of the gown, which is why she chose it.
