On March 4, BCBGMAXAZRIA partnered with the Whitney Museum of American Art for the 2014 Biennial Opening Night exclusive reception. Members of the Whitney and 2014 Biennial artists attended along with notables like Lubov Azria, Adam Weinberg, Sarah Rafferty, Lisa Edelstein, Brooke Garber Neidich, Stuart Comer, Anthony Elms, Michelle Grabner, Tracy Emin, Kipton Cronkite, Evan Yurman, Alex Jovanovich, Mirabelle Marden, Stephanie Ruhle, Danielle Bernstein, Tracey Emin, Marco Brambilla, Kyle DeWoody and Chuck Close.

The Whitney Biennial in considered an important survey on the state of contemporary art in America. The fashion house BGBG is dedicated to supporting artists by introducing them to new audiences and providing them with a platform to showcase their work and it has shown longstanding support for the Whitney Museum of American Art and its mission since 2007.

On Monday, March 3, BCBG kicked off the opening with an intimate dinner and Artist party celebrating the 2014 Whitney Biennial at the Gramercy Park Hotel Terrace. Members of the Whitney Artist Council, Contemporaries Executive Committee, and 2014 Biennial artists were spotted mingling with Lubov Azria, Adam Weinberg, Arden Wohl, Dalia Oberlander, Fern and Leonard Tessler, Kipton Cronkite, AnnaSophia Robb, Chelsea Leyland, Catherine Bennett, Padma Lakshmi, Annabelle Dexter Jones, Euan Rellie, and Amanda Ross.

“My very first high school dance, I got BCBG shoes,” AnnaSophia Robb told WWD. “And then my first prom, I tried on a few BCBG dresses and I fell in love with this one, but it was a little too saucy for me. Now, I am of age,” she added.
