Designer Anna Sui indulges her every bohemian fantasy in this “boho chic” Spring 2014 Womens’s and Men’s collection which she presented in a runway fashion show for New York Fashion Week at The Theatre at Lincoln Center on September 11, 2013 in New York City.
Anna Sui Spring 2014 will have you begging for more when you’re done viewing this bohemian eclectic with a 1970’s flower power “hippy” vibe…
Expect plenty of embroidery, floral chiffon tunics, simple or with ruffles, teamed with velvet bellbottoms or shorts, headbands and leather sandals, with a sprinkling of flowers in their long-flowing hair.
Sui even offers embroidered rompers and yet there’s a certain Arte Nouveau delicacy in some of the pieces.
The pale chutney green embroidered dress on model Karlie Kloss was simply stunning!
Her Men’s collection also celebrates “flower power” and male models strutted in crushed velvet pants, embroidered coats with fur trim, that could easily be worn by women, and animal chiffon shirts. You could say that the Menswear pieces are very possibly unisex.
Anna Sui herself hit the runway to greet the crowd in her floral dress and knee-high leather boots, letting her hair flow long past her shoulders. At age 49, Sui could very well be getting in touch with her childhood in the 1970’s. As they say, it’s never too late to have a wonderful childhood… And this is as good as it gets!
Attending the Anna Sui show this evening were director Sofia Coppola, actress Michele Hicks, singer Oh Land (gorgeous lace dress!), Alia Penner, Sarah Sophie Flicker and Tennessee Thomas. Enjoy the slideshow and embedded video!
