Anna Sui can do it all; fashion, accessories, makeup and fragrance. She doesn’t disappoint with her Fall Collection for 2010 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Bryant Park.
Riotous prints, luscious textures, furs, metallics and a palette of fall’s shades including burgundies, cocoa and dusty blues composed this festive collection that me wish for Fall now.
Champagne and antiqued silver deco embellishments and antique gold metallic faux leather sparkled on the runway. Sui even collaborated with statement jeweler, Erickson Beamon to create pieces that are inspired by the American Arts and Crafts movement. They incorporated actual tiles from Detroit’s Pewabic Pottery into the handcrafted necklaces and broaches.
The collection is feminine and flirty, playful and sophisticated. Sui said that her fashions are perfect for California; you can just put on a flip-flops and wear them in Malibu.
