According to the thehollywoodgossip.com on Jan. 14, Ann Romney has rejected a chance to compete on "Dancing with the Stars." The wife of the former presidential candidate was in talks with the dance competition since the end of last season.
Romney appeared on the finale last season and talked about how she was a huge fan of the show. After that, it was obvious that the producers would want to try to get her on the show.
Romney wouldn't have been the first political celebrity to sign up. Bristol Palin, the daughter of former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, competed on the show as well.
Palin had a huge following and not only went further than her talent ever deserved on her time around, but also took part in the All-Star version of the show that aired in 2012, once again surviving based on her immense popularity.
"Dancing with the Stars" also wanted to get Bristol's mother Sarah for the show, but the former governor of Alaska has rejected the offer.
According to the site, Ann Romney had numerous meetings with the producers, trying to hammer out a deal for her to appear on the show in 2013. A representative for the Romney's said that it was Ann Romney who rejected the offer made by "Dancing with the Stars."
