Ann Curry Matt Lauer firing fury has kicked up again. As if people hadn't had enough, Lauer spoke out about Curry's "Today Show" firing and all of those rumors that suggested that he was behind it and that Curry was treated poorly by the staff. On Sept. 11, FOX News reported that Lauer tried to clear some things up in his new interview with Esquire.
"The way the media treated what happened with Ann Curry was a disappointing learning experience. I was disappointed by the laziness of the media, the willingness to read a rumor, repeat that rumor, and treat it as a fact," said Lauer.
Ann Curry and Matt Lauer (after her firing) have had a very intense media relationship. Several sources have blamed Lauer for Curry's dismissal and while Lauer hasn't come right out and said that he and Curry are friends or that they have no hard feelings, he says that he's unhappy with the way things went down. Publicly.
There have been several negative rumors surrounding Lauer and his role in Curry's firing. It's hard to believe that this is still being discussed but people are still boycotting "The Today Show" because of how Ann was (supposedly) treated.
Does Matt Lauer's latest jabber on Ann Curry's firing change the way you feel about the situation?
