Ann Curry, fired from "Today," will not be finding a new home on CNN. Apparently, there was a rumor going around that the dismissed "Today Show" host was being wooed by CNN. That's not the case, according to a Jan. 29, 2013 report by TMZ.
Jeff Zucker is the current president of CNN Worldwide. Zucker reportedly has no interest in adding Ann Curry to his stable of talent even though he is allegedly searching for a fresh face for the network. Hiring Curry as a foreign correspondent seems to be a possibility, however, it's "highly unlikely" because her $10 million NBC makes her an undesirable candidate. Sources claim Zucker wouldn't be willing to open CNN's wallet quite that wide.
Was Ann Curry fired over fashion? That's one of the claims made by Curry in an interview with Ladies Home Journal shortly after she lost her job with "Today." Curry told LHJ, "One day I wore a multicolored dress and someone asked if I was trying to be Toucan Sam. But I chose it because I thought, This will perk up America."
Even though Ann Curry was fired, she has a pretty respectable nest egg. According to Celebrity Net Worth, her estimated net worth is a cool $10 million.
