Ann Arbor Visitors Bureau raffles off romance

Sunday is Valentine's Day, and it's not too late to enter an online drawing for a romantic weekend for two, sponsored by the Ann Arbor Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. There will be one, Grand Prize winner. The prize package includes a two-night stay at the Ann Arbor Four Points Sheraton, a gift basket with bath salts and chocolates, a $200 Main Street Ventures dining certificate at your choice of either Palio's Italian restaurant, Real Seafood Company, Gratzi Italian restaurant, Carlson Steak House or the Chop House. It also includes a $50 brunch/breakfast certificate to Cafe' Zola and a $150 couples massage certificate to Bella Nina Day Spa. The total package is valued at $595. The contest runs through February 28 and the entry form can be found at visitannarbor.

In addition to the Visitors Bureau contest, several Ann Arbor-area hotels are offering special romance packages for this weekend. These include the Weber's Inn Valentine's Day package, with special rates for February 12-14. Their package includes a one-night stay, a bottle of Asti Spumanti with two, keepsake glasses, six chocolate-covered strawberries and one, long-stem rose.

The Bell Tower hotel in downtown Ann Arbor also has a romantic getaway package. For $265, you and your sweetie will get a one-night stay in a luxury suite, your choice of champagne or sparkling wine, chocolate-covered strawberries, a $50 spa certificate to Main Street Massage, a $25 restaurant certificate, continental breakfast in bed and complimentary valet parking.

Whether you choose to enter the online drawing or take advantage of the special deals offered by area hotels, the Visitors Bureau wants to remind you that in Ann Arbor, "romance is always in season".
