The body of a dead baby found face down in a Millington, Tenn. ditch was confirmed on Feb. 17, 2014 to be that of 7-week-old Aniston Walker. Her mother has now been charged with murder, according to WMCTV.

A motorcycle rider found the body on Sunday along Singleton Parkway, WREG reports.

Aniston’s mother, Andrea Walker, 33, told police she left Aniston with her 3-year-old son at around 11:40 a.m. on Jan. 9 while taking her 5-year-old child to school.

Aniston was reported missing by her father, Tramond Chitman – who reportedly does not live in the home – later that day, sometime after Walker returned to the residence.

Walker was arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse in connection with Aniston’s vanishing.

She walked out of jail on Feb. 6 after posting $250,000 bond.

Memphis Police Director Toney Armstrong released a statement about the case Monday afternoon, saying “It is heartbreaking to confirm that an innocent child’s life has been taken, but now family members of Aniston Walker can have closure and begin the healing process of losing a loved one.”

WMCTV reports that Walker is charged with first-degree murder and turned herself in to authorities Monday morning.
