Earlier this week, anime publisher Aniplex of America announced that they have acquired the upcoming anime series "Kill la Kill", set to debut later this year.
"Kill la Kill" is an action and fantasy series that is produced by the animation studio Trigger (Little Witch Academia). The series is the first original television anime project from the studio, "Little Witch Academia" is a short film, and it will feature direction by Hiroyuki Imaishi and story from Kazuki Nakashima, two of the people responsible for the highly popular anime, "Gurren Lagann". The anime will also include character designs by Sushio.
The anime will debut this fall and Aniplex has plans to begin streaming "Kill la Kill" when it begins. More details about streaming plans will likely come as the debut draws closer. Aniplex of America will also be releasing the anime on home video, but any details about that release will be saved for a later date as well.
