Girl otakus rejoice! A new season of Oreimo is on the horizon. Aniplex USA has acquired the rights to 'Oreimo 2,' a sequel to the popular anime about an older brother and his geeky 'otaku' younger sister. Aniplex USA the American affiliate of Aniplex, the company that produces Oreimo and its sequel in Japan. The new series will premiere Saturday April 6th on the anime streaming site Crunchyroll, according to the official website.
Oreimo, short for Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai, (in English: My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute) is a Japanese series of light novels, or short books targeted at high schoolers that may also include pictures. About an older brother who discovers that his pretty, athletic younger sister as also an otaku, a Japanese word used to refer to those obsessed with hobbies (usually anime or games), the first season of Oreimo can be watched online at Crunchyroll with English subtitles.

After being assured that Kyousuke is committed to not mock her and keep this concealed from their parents, she starts to share a bit of her world with him.
