Animals, David Dastmalchian’s compelling drama that won the 2014 South by Southwest Jury award, will be screened Tuesday night, June 3 at 7:30 pm, at Landmark’s Century Centre Cinema, 2828 North Clark, Chicago.

The screening marks the tenth anniversary season of the First Tuesdays with The Midwest Independent Film Festival. Producer, actor and Chicago native David Dastmalchian will be in attendance along with other members of his cast and crew.

Animals brings to life the story of a couple who live in their self-made fantasy world, existing through nefarious acts as they try to survive, struggling through addiction and homelessness.

This film was awarded the Special Jury Prize for Courage in Storytelling at the 2014 South by Southwest Film Festival.

The evening begins with a pre-show cocktail hour at 6pm at the Cinema, and features a Producer’s Panel at 6:30pm. A post-screening reception is also planned. For more information, go to
