Rescuers and other animal lovers are appalled at the goings on in Carnegie, Oklahoma. One animal, a little poodle, was already left to die in the dirt while the others wander around the dirt yard, starving and infested with huge bloodsucking ticks.
KOKH Fox 25 included the coverage in their top stories of the day. Although “he sheriff's office says it made the owner take her dogs to the vet because it received several complaints of neglect”, concerned citizens are outraged the animals were returned to the owner who is under investigation for neglect.
Rescue efforts are being organized and the public is being encouraged to call authorities to voice complaints on behalf of these animals. There is concern once public pressure subsides, the owner will continue to allegedly abuse these animals.
