The 13-year-old teen who posted a sadistic video to his Facebook page showing a young black and white puppy being punched so hard, the puppy reeled around, fell off the counter where he stood and cried out in pain in Louisiana has been charged with animal cruelty on Thursday according to the USA Today.

Participants could be heard laughing in the background as the puppy falls.

On Feb. 2, viewers were so outraged when they saw the horrendous video posted by the juvenile, numerous people began to call the Alexandria Police Department as well as leaving comments on Facebook pages.

The puppy was examined by a veterinarian and is reported to be in good health. He remains at the Alexandria Animal Control Shelter until his owners surrender him or a decision is made by the judge as to the puppy's future.

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals ASPCA) encourages everyone to report any cases of animal cruelty. Research who is responsible for investigating and enforcing anti-cruelty codes in your town or city. Reach out to the local humane societies and animal shelters for help. Contact the police directly if needed.

This little puppy's life may have been rescued from future harm because outraged viewers reached out to the Alexandria Police Department who were then able to find the young culprit allegedly abusing a defenseless puppy.
