Get your creative side amped up for some item collecting, home decorating, and clothing creation gamers, because the latest installment of the Animal Crossing series is on the way this summer. Announced on Feb. 14 was the official release date for Animal Crossing: New Leaf, which will be available on the Nintendo 3DS system. The North American release date is set for June 9, while a European release will follow shortly after on June 14.
Much like in the previous games in the series, Animal Crossing: New Leaf gameplay features players taking on the role of a human character whom is moving into a new town filled with anthropomorphic animals. Unlike in previous games, however, this time your lone human can assume the role of town mayor!
According to Nintendo game translator Bill Trinen, a new feature will be added to the North American release of New Leaf, but as of yet the details on this new feature have not been revealed. Perhaps it has something to do with online play?
