March 24, Kyle Schwab, well known animal activist, rescuer, and dog trainer called out Michael Vick on his Facebook page, challenging him to a sanctioned, governed boxing match.
Schwab, 12 years Vick’s senior, and built like a steamroller picked no bones about his feelings for Vick. “Remember folks, he didn't just fight dogs like the media perfumes it. He stomped their heads, threw them against walls, slammed them to the ground, electrocuted them, and dumped them in dumpsters to die a slow and painful death. The can be researched online, “said Schwab. “Not trying to prove anything. No ego here. Trying to pull some money into an underfunded industry/epidemic where it's needed. That's where the glory is. Kicking someone’s ass is a bonus.”
Schwab thinks Vick should pay the prize, win or lose, and all the money go to animal welfare charities.
Fans of Schwab’s rooted him on with hundreds of comments offering to pay to see such an event. Only a handful of comments were made about Vick already having done his time and paid for his crime, while the majority expressed a desire to see Vick pulverized in an open arena. It’s obvious not everyone feels he’s paid for his actions and there are many that would be willing to pay to see Vick get a little physical payback.
No surprise that there has been no response from Vick or his representatives about the challenge. The best we can hope for is that one of Vick’s animal loving challengers on the football field will pay him a little extra attention next season as he lines up with the Jets.
