Neither of the two men were in a life threatening situation. The old folks at home and on airplane flights are suffering from lack of patience, and the upperhand has turned into over kill. Last month an older gentlemen killed one teen for turning around in his drive way, and now a toddler gets smacked for crying on an airplane flight from Minnesota to Atlanta, enough to draw blood. This is not a matter of poor parenting but a matter of two senior men who felt they were justified in their anger enough to lash out at innocent children. The two men are out of control they have hurt and killed by the destructive use of their own anger.
Temperament journey, anger out of control is called rage
Obviously they have repressed anger, unhealthy stress and happiness issues and unleashed them on the innocent who were unable to defend themselves. That’s bullying at it’s finest and the age of these two men does not excuse their behavior. They reacted quickly and decisively with hostility and aggressively. Seriously, playing violent video games was most likely not in either of their backgrounds, but a lack of control is.
One old thought, one old memory, one old pattern
More anger and violence is not what the world needs. Whatever the story is behind what took place in either of these two stories had nothing to do with the teen drive in the driveway nor the toddler on the airplane, neither of the two men even knew their victims beforehand. You are taught in kindergarten to keep your hands to yourself, what goes on in the home may be another story altogether.
It is apparent irrational beliefs drive the anger
Grumpy old men syndrome? A kinder, gentler population? Ordinary people can become angry enough to be prejudiced and brutalize. It’s these self-serving aggressive urges that threaten the well-being of society as a whole today. The crime rate soars and these two men in question will serve no time in jail or appropriate counseling, the damage is done.
