A frustrated Tulare, Calif., man shot and killed his neighbor's little dog who was barking during the night, reported Friday's ABC 30 News.
Last week, Leticia Davis' Chihuahua, "Nike," died several hours after allegedly being shot by 48-year-old Bryan Martin.
Davis told ABC 30 that she heard her neighbor yell during the night:
Sometimes he's nice and then sometimes he's like, like that night,
Monday night he said, 'you better shut up or I'm going to shoot you! You better shut up or I'm going to shoot you!
Despite hearing the angry tirade, Davis left her barking dog outside throughout the night.
The following morning, the dog was lifeless on the dirt - Davis believed that Nike was dead when she touched his motionless body, but the dog moved after being picked up.
The wounds ultimately proved to be fatal and Nike died a short time later.
Martin was arrested for felony animal cruelty.
