Angry ex-boyfriend accused of running over puppy who was locked in a cage

According to Thursday's KOKO News, an Oklahoma City, Okla., man is accused of a brutal act of violence towards his ex-girlfriend and her puppy.

On Monday night, police responded to a home at 1600 block of Meyers Place, where they found a distraught woman, clutching a dead puppy, and crying hysterically.

According to the victimized woman, she had broken up with her boyfriend and had asked him to drop her off at a relative's house.

The woman claims that the man was furious and he threw her, and her belongings, out of his truck and then proceeded to attack her.

According to News OK, the man strangled, hit and bit the woman, all in the presence of two children.

She alleges that in the midst of his tirade, he told her that she "cared more about her dog" than him, and then ran his truck over the puppy, who was locked inside of a cage.

Authorities have arrested the man who is believed to be responsible for the violent attack, but his name has not been released.

The man is facing a slew of charges for the incident, including: domestic assault and battery by strangulation, a domestic in the presence of a minor, animal cruelty, and assault and battery.
