Angry cat 'Lux' home from animal shelter and filming for reality series

Lux the 22-pound attack cat from Portland, Ore. was picked up from a local animal shelter after owner Lee Palmer changes his mind and wants the ferocious feline back. On March 20, KATU reports that the North Portland couple who hid in their bedroom and called 9-1-1 earlier in the month don't want to give up on their pet.

It is unknown why a couple who cannot control their cat would want it back but Lee Palmer and his girlfriend retrieved Lux and want to keep him even after the cat scratched their 7-month old son. The audio of a 9-1-1 call involving Palmer went viral after he called for help in controlling the angry cat.

Now, Animal Planet series "My Cat From Hell" is interested in filming and helping the animal. Animal Planet plans to film Lux and his family next week in an attempt to help the family control their pet and also to help Lux the cat to be happier.

The timing of the cat's retrieval seems questionable. Would Palmer have gone back for the cat if Animal Planet hadn't come calling? Should there be charges against Palmer for admittedly kicking the cat? Let us know in the comments.
