According to a Mar. 15 report in “TUAW”, “Angry Birds Toons” comes to “Angry Birds” apps starting today. This is a new cartoon series that is accessed from within an “Angry Birds” app.
The furious birds and the greedy pigs fight it out from Brazil to Outer Space and just about everywhere in-between. But have you ever wondered why the birds are so angry and the pigs love the eggs so much?
Well, this new cartoon series will finally tell us. Just check out the slide show!
Spoiler Alert: Today's cartoon shows the pigs sharpening their knives and forks!
Rovio, the developer of “Angry Birds” has been saying for a long time that the birds would land in other media, but rather then have the birds migrate to television or motion pictures, they have turned up in their own cartoon series on YouTube.
If you have an “Angry Birds” game installed on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch starting today you can see these toons by just opening the app, tapping the arrow on the bottom right and then, from the resulting menu, the film icon.
Chances are, you've played “Angry Birds”. It's the number one paid iPhone app in more than 60 countries. But if you haven't yet, it's a physics-based game where you help a group of furious fowls use logic to destroy the defenses of evil pigs.
This game is free to download and play, but there lots of in-app purchases if you choose to make them. On the other hand, you can go into Settings and tap the lightening bolt to disable these IAPs if you don't want to be tempted or if you're going to hand this game to a child.
This game is compatible with iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. We'll be back next time with more news and free apps for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch!
