Mark your calendar for Saturday, November 15th, from 5:30-9:30pm. Anglers for Conservation (AFC) will be invading the Grand Ballroom of Heritage Isle Club in Viera, Florida to put on one heck of a party and you are invited to attend.
According to their website Anglers for Conservation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, working within recreational fishing communities to create a new generation of marine stewards. One of their major programs is Hook Kids on Fishing Programs that provide both classroom type teaching and hands on fishing experiences for kids (and in reality their parents who have tagged along).
Chaired by Errin Gimbert, Mud Hole Custom Tackle, The Protect Our Waters Fundraising Party will benefit AFC's highly successful Hook Kids on Fishing programs. This is an opportunity to mingle with other anglers, talk fishing, win prizes, bid on auction items and simply have a grand old time.
An open bar cocktail hour will kick the evening off. Servers will be walking the floor passing out delectable hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction will increase the fun and frolic.
A presentation by AFC President, Capt. Rodney Smith, will reminds attendees of how they can help protect the precious water resource too many have come to take for granted.
During the evening some well-deserved awards will be bestowed on few special citizens who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in the name of conservation.
Attendees will feast on a delectable dinner of Cuban beef and red snapper prepared by Edible Art Bistro. Dessert and a live auction will follow dinner with some very special guests and some great auction items.
The evening will include the opportunity to bid on private guided fishing charters from well known charter captains like Capt. Mike Holliday of Fish Tales Guide Service, Capt. Jim Ross from the Chevy Florida Insiders Fishing Report, Capt. Mark Nichols, owner of D.O.A. Lures, Capt. Blair Wiggins of Addictive Fishing TV fame, and Capt. Tom Van Horn of Mosquito Lagoon Fishing Charters.
