Angie Stone and Raheem DeVaughn announced today that they will perform live at the 23rd annual Bank of America Football Classic weekend in support of charity organization 100 Black Men of Atlanta and Project Success. The special event will take place on September 23, 2011 and tickets are currently on sale to the public through Ticketmaster. A portion of ticket sales will directly benefit the charity.
Angie Stone: “I welcome the opportunity to use my gifts to benefit the 100 Black Men of Atlanta’s Project Success Program.” Angie Stone has recorded with musical icons such as Lenny Kravitz, Musiq Soulchild and Prince.
Lightfoot will host the concert which will be held at 8pm at the Atlanta Civic Center on September 23, 2011. In addition to hearing recording sensations Angie Stone and Raheem DeVaughn, guests of the event will have the chance to win a 4 day/3 night vacation to the Paradise Island.
Raheem DeVaughn: “I am thrilled to be part of a weekend that raises money to inspire young people to pursue their dreams; something that I always want my music to do.” Raheem DeVaughn discovered while he was a student at Coppin State University that he always wanted to use his music to help people.
The football game will see FAMU Rattlers versus Southern University Jaguars at the Georgia Dome at 3:30pm on September 24, 2011. The game is expected to attract a large amount of students, alumni and local residents who support local collegiate sports teams.
