One of the greatest needs for animal rescue groups is temporary foster homes. Many groups don’t have a shelter and rely on their network of foster homes to care for the animal until it finds its forever home. Organizations that do have shelters frequently need foster homes for very young kittens or puppies and special needs animals or when their shelter is full. Angels Among Us Rescue posted the following plea for foster homes earlier today on their Facebook page:
“I just got some heartbreaking news. I received our boarding list. We have TWENTY dogs now! For ya'll who do not know what that is, it is the list of dogs that we have saved and are now sitting in boarding! NO fosters or furever homes for them! Not only does it deteriorate our funds, it is horrible that we are saving dogs just to put them back behind bars. That is no life for them.
Bottom line is, it is REALLY hard for us to save more dogs when we don't have any place for our other dogs to go. WE NEED FOSTERS for these dogs! Please! I am BEGGING you all to PLEASE go to our main page and look under "fosters urgently needed" and see if there is anyone who you can help. We have every size, color and personality in there. PLEASE help us! We are calling no begging for ALL SPECIAL ANGELS to HELP. If you can help please email foster@angelsrescue.org.”
