Angelique Midthunder to serve on casting director panel for 'Tune up' Dec. 7

The three day event called, “Tune up” which is a part of the “Santa Fe Film Festival” (SFFF) will run from Dec. 6 - 8, 2013 at Santa Fe, N.M. According to the official website for SFFF - “Film industry decision makers are pulling back the curtain on New Mexico’s film industry for a three-day event putting New Mexican filmmakers, budding actors and businesses wanting to serve the industry before decision casting agents, production leaders and buyers.”

Angelique Midthunder will be on hand as part of the 'Casting Director' panels during the “Tune up” weekend of events. She is the wife of Native American actor, David Midthunder (The Lone Ranger) & mother of actress/daughter Amber Midthunder (TV's Longmire).

Angelique recently opened her casting office at the “Santa Fe University of Art and Design” (SFUAD). It will be part of the film program near the Greer Garson Studios.

Angelique will be joined by two other casting directors & they include, Elizabeth Gabel & Lorrie Latham. The first panel is called, “So you wanna be in movies.” It will be held on Saturday Dec. 7, 2013 from from 2 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Below is the full rundown of the weekend events from the SFFF website for “Tune up: Santa Fe Film Festival.”

  • Friday Dec. 6, 2013 at 6 p.m. / Celebrating music! 'Santa Fe Music Alliance' brings you concerts, food, and drink! Bands to perform are 'To Build a Fiee', 'Sol Fire', and 'Numbtron (electronic side band with members of the D Numbers). There will also be a raffle of a music video shoot valued at $5,000 launching at the event courtesy of the Santa Fe Music Alliance.

  • Saturday Dec. 7, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m with a Continental Breakfast. / Meet and Greet and chat with the people who make buying decisions for major motion pictures. How your business can do more business with the film business.

  • Saturday 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Working Lunch. / Tobi Ives, Senior Manager of Production, and Rochelle Bussey, Workforce Development Programs Manager, will discuss incentives and resources available through the New Mexico State Film Office.

  • Saturday 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Demonstration. / Panavision will be demonstrating their newly launched Primo V series lenses.

  • Saturday 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. (Actor) Head Shots. / Get your headshot taken for extras casting agents.

  • Saturday 2 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. Panel. / Casting Session Number One “So you wanna be in movies” / Panelist: Angelique Midthunder, CSA, Elizabeth Gabel, Lorrie Latham.

  • Saturday 3:45 p.m. to 5 p.m. Panel. / Casting Session Number Two “Light your casting career on fire” / Panelist: Kerry Barden, CSA, Angelique Midthunder, CSA, Tamara Decker.

  • Saturday 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. / Reception.

  • Saturday 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. / Awards Ceremony / Shoot Santa Fe trailer contest grand prize winner to be announced.

  • Saturday 7 p.m. / Celebration and DJ

  • Sunday Dec. 8, 2013 at 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. / Brunch & Panel / 2014 Legislative Session Filmmakers Brunch and panel. Law makers discuss the Power of Persuasion and the next 5 years of legislation for film.
