Angelina Jolie took her twins, Vivienne and Knox, to shop for Halloween costumes at Queensland, Australia amidst a location scandal for her new film, “Unbroken”, according to Oct. 27 reports in Perez Hilton and Courier Mail.
The “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” actress went shopping for spooky costumes and other Halloween gear with two of her children, donning her usual gothic black clothes.
Angelina Jolie, who recently signed a prenuptial agreement with longtime partner Brad Pitt, has been embroiled in an uproar involving the filming location of a film she is directing, “Unbroken”. The film is said to be about an Olympic runner taken as a prisoner of war by the invading Japanese in World War II torn Australia, according to IMDB.
“Unbroken” is set to be filmed at the Fort Lytton National Park and a prisoner of war camp set is to be built on that location. Unfortunately, Conservation Volunteers, an environmental activist group in Australia, is unhappy with the possibility of Jolie’s crew destroying or causing damage to the historic site.
I would like to have a word with the wonderful Angelina Jolie about her movie and tell her a few things about the environment and the heritage at Fort Lytton … The movie set sounds like it will create the potential for mess that we will have to go in and clear up, to say nothing for the impact it will have on native regeneration," said Wayne Cameron, the chairman of Conservation Volunteers.
Fort Lytton was built in 1881 and was integral to defending Brisbane during the Japanese assault in World War II. The national park is currently closed to the public until filming of Angelina’s movie is concluded on Nov. 22.
