Celebrity spy news and rumor mill mix-ups have Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt married on Christmas Day 2012.
Alleged fashion stories tell the tale of L’Wren Scott as the lucky designer to design Jolie’s wedding dress while designer Donna Karan left out in the cold was only good for her house on Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Could this fairytale be true?
Certainly Karan's home on Parrot Cay is a very romantic location, Karan once described the piece of land her villa was built on as, “A strand of white beach that, at sunset, blushes like a bride.”
Pitt recently when asked about wedding dates replied, “The time is nigh.”
Perhaps someone can decode the cryptic message tweeted yesterday by L’Wren Scott somewhere in the Caribbean, “This tree is so called because of its flaked bark which resembles the skin of a sunburnt visitor. The tree’s sap is used to make glue, varnish and incense and its wood for matchsticks and boxes. On the Grenadine island of Bequia, the soft buoyant wood is used to make model boats.”
Doesn’t make too much sense now does it?
Art of Weddings Thurs., Jan. 3, 2013 held an event at Portland Center Stage in the Pearl district and Portland brides to be came out in search of the perfect wedding gown just like Angie, however, no L’Wren Scott gowns were found.
Alas no tears were shed either because PDX brides were charmed by the enchanting David’s Bridal consultant Amanda Nohrenberg who shared with me the top trendy fashion picks for the Portland bridal fashionista.
Nohrenberg said, “2013 is all about soft lace, elegant detail and a vintage inspired look for gowns, and bridal accessories range from bird cages to traditional veils, we’re seeing the cathedral veils come back. It’s really exciting.”
I asked Nohrenberg about the L’Wren Scott wedding dress allegedly worn by Angie over the Christmas holiday.
Nohrenberg replied, "Oh did Angie get married? We don't carry any L'Wren Scott gowns, however, Jessica Biel’s soft pink gown reminds me of a lot the blush designs by Vera Wang. A color Wang offers in select bridal gowns. A little untraditional, it’s been really fun.”
Although Art of Weddings did not confirm or deny whether or not Brad married Angie on a beach that blushes like a bride and we're still left wondering did Angie say, “I do,” wearing a wedding dress designed by L’Wren Scott?
