People/Hello! Magazine released the much-anticipated wedding photos of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Monday, and Jolie’s wedding attire is a gown only a mother could love. Angelina’s Atelier Versace wedding dress not only commemorates the union of a couple, but also celebrates the entire Pitt/Jolie family.
According to Yahoo! Celebrity Luigi Massi, Atelier Versace master tailor, designed Angelina Jolie’s ivory wedding gown with a twist. Massi embellished the 39-year-old actress’ silk and antique lace wedding dress and veil with pictures drawn by the couple’s six children. Artwork complete with flowers, animals and people were sewn into the back of Jolie’s sweeping floor length skirt and veil. However, Angelina’s wedding gown still captured the classic essence of Jolie with a scooped-neck fitted bodice and a traditional topknot bun updo.
Jolie’s wedding gown was a labor of love. Mrs. Brad Pitt told People, "Luigi is like family to me and I couldn't imagine anyone else making this dress. He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together." Brad on the other hand didn’t put as much effort into his wedding attire. The New York Daily News reported the 50-year-old actor wore a suit from his closet adorned with his son’s tie because Pitt forgot to pack one.
Jolie and Pitt were married in the chapel of Château Miraval, the family's estate in the French village of Correns on August 23 with a few close family members and friends in attendance. Brangelina’s complete wedding album with the full details on the nuptials will appear in People this Wednesday when the magazine hits newsstands.
