The Angelika Film Center and Café of Houston has created a concept that is long overdue for parents of small children. The Crybaby Matinee invites parents and their babies to come out and enjoy a film without worrying about the "Silence is Golden" idea of traditional theaters.
Every Friday and Saturday at 11:45 a.m., motion picture shows are catered to parents and their little ones. The lights are dimmed, the sound is turned down, and diaper changing tables are wheeled in at the bottom of the theater for parental convenience. The cost for the Crybaby Matinee viewing is $6.25 for adults and free for children under five years old. Valet parking is also conveniently available for theater customers.
