You are cordially invited to the 28th annual Women for Christ luncheon at the Prime Osborn Center on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (Doors open at 11:10 a.m. The guest speaker will be the dynamic Angela Thomas.
The purpose of the Women for Christ is to provide the Jacksonville Florida community with the opportunity to hear outstanding Christian speakers. If you missed last year’s message and messenger; take a look (Here).
Angela Thomas is the best-selling author of numerous books including “Choosing Joy” and “Brave: Honest Questions Women Ask”. She is a gifted story-teller who speaks to thousands each year and she’s an encouraging teacher recommended by both Pam Tebow and Beth Moore.
Thomas graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Dallas theological Seminary. She has written and filmed four video studies with Life Way including “When Wallflowers Dance”. Angela is a wife and mother who resides in Greensboro, North Carolina.
After attending Dallas Theological Seminary, Angela served as a part-time youth director in a Methodist church where she discovered her true calling as a speaker and teacher. After living 14 years as wife and mother of four, Angela's marriage ended. Through the wounds of divorce and the unchartered territory of life as a single mom, Angela learned how to rely on God for strength, hope and comfort. During that season, she wrote, “My Single Mom Life”, a book of lessons and encouragement for all the women who walk a similar path.
Come join the Women for Christ and hear Angela share her real-life experiences that will help women of all ages and from all walks of like to develop a deeper passion for knowing who God really is.
