While many independent scrapbooking and stamping retail stores have come and gone in the DC Metro Area, Angela’s Happy Stamper continues to keep going strong.
On August 1, 2009, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., the store will host a grand Open House to celebrate their 6th anniversary.
They have a goodie bag to give you, just for stopping by (one per household). You will also receive a ticket for door prize drawings. Door prizes will be awarded every 20 minutes! Bring a donation for their Community Outreach Project – FACETS and receive additional door prize tickets.
Angela’s Happy Stamper has a whole lot of fun and technique learning planned, including two sessions of Make-and-Takes.
Each year, they introduce two new companies to their vendor "family" on Open House day. This year, one of our new vendors is leading a Make-and Take in both of the sessions.
Session I
10:30 a.m. – 12:30 a.m.
Class Fee: $18.00
- Pull Treat Card (taught by owner of featured new stamp company)
- Metal Dog Tag Necklace
- A Muse Candy Container
- Glorious Gift Tags
Session II
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Class Fee: $18.00
- Mini Apple Basket (taught by owner of featured new stamp company)
- Acrylic Art Frame
- Copic Marker & Airbrush Card
- Puzzle-mania Card
Back by popular demand, they will also be hosting two Stamp Swaps during the day. The first Stamp Swap at 12:30 p.m. and the second at 4:00 p.m. For each swap that you can attend, bring a new or gently used stamp to give away. The stamp needs to be wrapped or in a gift bag so that it will be a surprise when the swap occurs. Everyone that participates goes home with a different stamp. Registration is not required to participate.
Everyone can enjoy the refreshments, door prizes, shopping, and the Stamp Swamp, but only ticket holders will be admitted into the Make-and-Take area.
You can sign up for the Make-and-Take sessions on the website or by calling the store. These spaces fill quickly.
Even if you are not participating in the Make-and-Takes, be sure to stop by the store to shop, swap, enter door prizes, and be sure to bring non-perishable items to donate to a very worthy cause.
