Geometric shapes breaking through classic silhouettes in a seamless marriage of edgy traditionalism drove the collection. Integrating leather, lurex and crepe, Sanchez delivered a stunning array of thatched leather insets, embroidered bodices and brocade panels.
From show-stopping floor length gowns to eye-catching cocktail dresses, Sanchez pulled out all the stops. The sensual palette consisted of black, steel, nude, hunter green, gold, winter white, and cobalt.
Adorned by gold chains, mink stoles, medallion and steel closures, every detail was addressed with perfection in this collection of backless dresses, cut-outs, floating back panels and capes!
One of our favorite pieces was a floor-length steel sleeveless pleated leather panel dress with a mink stole. Another gorgeous dress is the nude gown embroidered with gold deconstructed zig-zags completed by a nude open backed jacket.
The finale dress was met with a round of applause and was a floor-sweeping cobalt blue strapless gown with a structured overdress, fit for red carpet royalty and perfect for anyone with curves!
The collection was aptly named “Dark Innocence” which was “inspired by a woman who appears to be conservative and demure…dressed with monastic elegance, she prays for a divine power to help her control her darkest dreams, the forbidden. Maybe she is a sinner looking for pardon, I’m not sure. Regardless, it’s time that I give her some attention.” – Angel Sanchez
