Android app update connects readers to History Channel's "The Bible" miniseries

The "Bible" app, a popular Bible reading app from Lifechurch.tv, received an update yesterday, adding clips from History Channel's new miniseries "The Bible". The series, which started last night, is produced by “The Apprentice” and “Survivor” producer Mark Burnett and his wife, actress Roma Downey.

On the app there is a new "videos" section, that for now includes an extended trailer, along with six more clips from “The Bible”, entitled "Burning Bush", "Samson”, “David and Goliath", "Baptism of Jesus", "Peter & Jesus in the Storm", along with "Jesus and Pilate". Inclusion of the material is part of a cross-marketing agreement between the show and the developers of the app, and visitors to www.bibleseries.tv are getting referrals to install the free “Bible” app.

“Bible” has over 10,000,000 downloads, and it give users the ability to read the Bible on Android smartphones and tablets in over 35 languages. It also has hundreds of Bible versions to read, along with audio Bibles, and Bible reading plans/devotionals.

“The Bible” miniseries premiered last night on the History Channel and will be aired for two-hours each Sunday at 8PM, with the last episode airing on Easter Sunday. Check your local listings for channel information.
