The government shutdown has become a punitive effort by the Obama administration. Not only are they unwilling to exempt government programs from the crisis, including cancer care for children, but other items held sacred by the American people and our nation’s heritage.
The mainstream media refuses to cover the outrages that are totally unnecessary shutdowns of government facilities.
Just as the president ordered the halt to White House tours at the beginning of government sequestration while he jetted off to Hawaii for a multimillion dollar vacation, this time around the outrages are even more childish and political.
How many Americans are aware that the World War Two monument in Washington is presently surrounded by barb wire? The very Americans that preserved this president’s freedom to be a jerk are locked out at their advanced ages averaging 88 years-old.
For many who long planned the pilgrimage, this will be their last chance to see it. These are our brave combat warriors who fought from battles at Pearl Harbor through D-Day to Okinawa.
Absolutely disgraceful.
The American cemetery at Normandy, where thousands of D-Day veterans are buried, has closed. Can anyone imagine being an 88-year old veteran who planned many months/years ago to see the spacious, sacred grounds being locked out of his right as an American citizen?
Want more outrage?
The “journalists” and mass media are so busy blaming "evil Republicans" for this mess, they will not cover any of this unless forced to by common citizens.
Oh, the biggest outage.
The golf course at the military installation within Andrews Air Force Base outside Washington is open for business. President Barack H. Obama has made certain of that vital government necessity being there when he needs it.
Need more be said of this petty, partisan president who claims to be the leader of this great country?
