The Third Annual Hippodrome Foodie Experience will take place Saturday, May 12, 2012 and will star James Beard Award-winning television personality Andrew Zimmern. Zimmern is the host of Travel Channel’s hit series, Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern.
This year the Foodie Experience is growing. The tasting portion of the event will begin at 3:00 pm and will expand past the walls of the Hippodrome onto Eutaw Street. Baltimore’s top restaurants will be joined by Baltimore’s top food trucks. Andrew Zimmern will take the stage at 6:00 pm.
In 2010, Zimmern won the James Beard Award for Outstanding TV Food Personality. His online series, Toyota’s Appetite for Life, received an Effie in 2010. Bizarre Foods also took home two CableFax awards.
Zimmern has appeared in numerous national and international publications including Food and Wine and Saveur. Andrew is the author of The Bizarre Truth and has several books slated for release in the coming year.
Tickets are $94.00 plus applicable service fees. All tickets include the stage presentation and access to the pre-show Hippodrome Foodie Experience along with beer, wine and soft drinks. There will be a very limited number of $250 VIP tickets that include premium orchestra seats and an exclusive post show meet and greet with Zimmern on stage.
