Andrew Scott scored his second BBC Audio Drama award January 28, 2013, for his portrayal of Jerry in the radio play of Harold Pinter's, Betrayal. It is his first Audio award as Best Actor. Last year, in the 2012 inaugural awards event Scott received the Best Supporting Actor award for Referee.
Scott was not at the awards ceremony, which took place once again at BBC Broadcasting House in London, this year. He was in Los Angeles attending the Producers Guild of America awards, which took place on January 26, 2013, with television producer, Sue Vertue, whose program Sherlock, was nominated. Scott received the British BAFTA award for his role as Moriarty in Sherlock last year.
The busy awards season is in full swing once again. Though Sherlock aired in the UK over a year ago it is still in contention for prizes. Scott has one more big award contest to go, as he has been nominated for the role of Moriarty in the Irish Film and Television Awards, as well. That ceremony will take place in Dublin on Saturday, February 9th.
