Andrew Scott reads The iHole, by Julian Gough

Today at 9:30 a.m. CST Andrew Scott will be reading The iHole, a winner of The BBC International Short Story Award for 2012. From the BBC:

For one year only, an Award established to recognise and foster talent within the UK will seek to reflect the enormous richness and versatility of the short story internationally and to highlight exceptional talent from around the world. The BBC International Short Story Award 2012 is open to writers writing in English anywhere in the world who have been published in the UK.

The tenth of ten winners is a funny take on technology in the modern world, and how consumers feel they must have the very latest in gadgets. Scott is very good at conveying exasperation and it should be a fun listen.

It will be available as a podcast along with an interview with the author, Julian Gough, on Front Row if you miss it today.
