Eagerly awaiting the return of 'Sherlock?' Watch this mini-episode posted Dec. 26 by Eonline.com for an early fix and some tantalizing snippets from the first full episode including Benedict Cumberbatch as the "clueless" Mr. Holmes acting all puzzled that Dr. Watson has managed to have a life without him.
'Sherlock' will likely contain Andrew Scott's standout characterization of Jim Moriarty when it returns to PBS on Jan. 19 in order to show the re-enactment of the "death" and "resurrection" of Holmes from the end of the second season of the show two years ago. As Moriarty is "definitely dead" according to Scott, the felonious flirt may only appear briefly in the first episode to help provide the explanation as to what actually occurred on the rooftop when Holmes appeared to jump to his death only to appear quite alive at the end.
In other news, Andrew Scott is married to the writer of his upcoming film about gay activists and Welsh miners, 'Pride.' Former actor now writer, Stephen Beresford, is Scott's longtime partner and now husband according to Beresford's Internet Movie Database page which reads: "He has been married to Andrew Scott since February 2013."
As far as 'Sherlock' is concerned there will be a wedding between Dr. John Watson (Martin Freeman) and Mary Morstan (Freeman's real-life partner, Amanda Abbington) in the second episode of the series.
