Andrew Scott has been cast in the new Tom Hardy actioner, 'Locke'.
Hardy, who has been in several Hollywood films of late ('Inception', 'The Dark Knight Rises') is extremely hot right now. Andrew has third billing as "Donal" in the cast list on IMDb.com so it looks like a pretty major role for him. The movie is described as a dramatic thriller in which "Ivan Locke has the perfect family and a dream job, until a phone call forces him to make a decision that puts his entire life on the line in a tension-fueled ninety minute race against time."
Variety reports that Steven Knight will direct with Joe Wright, 'Atonement' director, of Shoebox Films, as one of the executive producers.
The ninety-minute movie has a gimmick that it is played in real time. The man in a race against the clock has been done before, as in the Johnny Depp clunker, 'Nick of Time' but this is an action movie and may lend itself more to the device. Filming began this month in London and is slated for a 2014 release.
