Andrea Bocelli is the most famous classical, Italian singer of our time, and he returns to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to sing live at The Bank Atlantic Center on Valentine’s Day.
Bocelli is also a musician. He plays the piano, flute, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, harp, harmonica, guitar, drums and melodica.

Born Sept. 22, 1958, in Tuscany. He grew up on a farm where he began music lessons at age six. He won his first singing competition at age 14, just two years after a soccer accident cost him his eyesight. It wasn’t until 1994 that Bocelli got his big break when he recorded a song with Pavarati. More than a dozen albums later, his voice is known throughout the world.
In December 2011, Bocelli lauched The Andrea Bocelli Foundation. The organization strives to “empower people and communities in situations of poverty, illiteracy, distress due to illness and social exclusion.”
Bocelli is expecting his third child, a daughter, with girlfriend Veronica Berti. He has two sons from his marriage to Enrica Cenzatti.
