Andre Ward and Carl Froch both confident they can win the Super Six Final

On Saturday night, Carl Froch defeated Glenn Johnson in the semi-finals for the Super Six tournament. Froch defeated Johnson via majority decision in a physical contest. After the fight, both Andre Ward and Carl Froch commented on their tournament final fight that pits two of the original six in a highly anticipated showdown. According to Showtime.com, Ward made the following comments about the Super Six World Classic finals:

"This is what everybody has wanted, and this is what everybody has been clamoring for. So it's time to get it on. We've fought the best of over the last two years, two years and a half, or whatever it's been. Two titles are going on the line, and I want that trophy in my trophy case."

Ward has defeated Kessler, Green, and Abraham to advance to the finals. The undefeated American fighter out of California is the #1 ranked super middleweight and has climbed up into the top 10 pound for pound fighters in all of Boxing. He has been the favorite for most of the tournament and is expected to open up as the favorite over Froch.

Froch defeated Dirrell, Abraham and Johnson to make it to the finals. However, he did suffer a defeat to Kessler in round 2 that he protested and almost quit the tournament over. Froch made the following comments to Showtime Boxing's Jim Gray after the fight:

"It's going to be a great sporting occasion, the Super Six final when two of the original six line up.  I knew that it would be me and Ward in the final. I'm looking forward to it and I feel that I can beat him, and he said that he's sure that he can beat me."

Both fighters will come into this fight prepared to go 12 rounds. Expect the fight to be physical and ugly at times with some grabbing, head butting, inside punching and more. I give the advantage to Ward as he seems to be the better all-around fighter between the two.
