Los Angeles – On June 23rd the Staples Center will host a rematch of boxing’s 2011 Fight of the Year between Victor Ortiz and Andre Berto.

The first time around Ortiz squeaked squeaked out of the ring with a decision victory in a fight where both men suffered knockdowns over the course of an electrifying twelve round welterweight contest.

Ortiz went onto lose to superstar Floyd Mayweather in his next outing, while Berto settled for an unmemorable victory over Jab Zaveck.

Sportsbooks have opened gambling lines for the rematch with Berto as a slight favorite at -155, and Ortiz as the underdog at +125.

What do those numbers mean?

Gamblers have to wager $155 dollars to win $100 if they pick Berto, while a $100 bet on a victorious Ortiz would rake in an extra $125.

Ortiz and Berto were scheduled to rematch on February 11, but the bout was postponed due to a ruptured bicep suffered by Berto, which required surgery.

Considering the significance of Berto’s injury, it is surprising to see the former Olympian open up as a favorite.
