One person who is giving her vote to Chris Soules in the battle to become the next "The Bachelor" star is Andi Dorfman. In an interview with Jezebel magazine, posted on Monday, August 4, the newly-engaged "Bachelorette" star said that Chris would be wonderful as the next Bachelor.
When asked who she thinks should be the next Bachelor, Andi nominated Chris, who came in third, behind Nick Viall and Josh Murray, for her heart. As for why she thinks Chris would be good for the role, she pointed out that he has a "great wholesome appeal to him," which includes coming from a great family and being very successful yet very down to earth.
Andi obviously isn't the only fan of Chris. The Iowan farmer has a big fan base, as evidenced by the fact that he received the largest and longest applause from the audience on both the "Men Tell All" and the "After the Final Rose" specials.
So far, the producers of the show have not made an announcement on who will be the next man to hand out the roses. That's because they're still trying to decide. In late July, the show's creator and executive producer, Mike Fleiss, pretty much confirmed that it's down to three guys: Chris Soules, Marquel Martin and Arie Luyendyk Jr. Marquel competed with Chris for Andi while Arie competed for Emily Maynard's hand in season eight. As of Sunday, August 3, the decision-makers are still trying to decide on which guy to go with.
Whether or not Chris Soules is the next Bachelor, viewers may get to see him on TV if and when Andi Dorfman marries Josh Murray, since Josh and Chris became good friends during "The Bachelorette." In her interview, Andi also revealed that she already has a wedding date in mind. She said that she would love to get married on May 9, since that will be exactly a year from her proposal. As for televising the wedding, Andi said that it's a possibility that she's open to.
