Anderson Silva has elbow surgery

Remember when we told you  Anderson Silva was going on an extended vacation, it appears as though that vacation is being caused by elbow surgersy, and will cause Silva to be out until middly of 2010 or more.  

No word has been released from his camp as to when or how the injury happened, but my bet it was in the Forrest Griffin fight and Silva did not want anyone to know that Griffin had actually done any damage to him besides hurting his feelings when he ran out of the ring and the building after Silva crushed him.

This puts a lot of big potential rematches with Nate Marquart and Dan Henderson on hold until we know when and if Silva will return. It also puts the fight with Frank Mir in question, but not much of a question. Mir would kill him.

Perhaps Silva may take up professional boxing and get knocked out by Roy Jones Jr.. Or me may go into acting. The movies could use another Spiderman.
