On today's "Anderson Live," his roving reporter, Candace Brooks was shocked when she found out she would be traveling to the inauguration of Barack Obama. She has traveled to several spots for Anderson Cooper when she impressed him with her enthusiasm on one of his shows.
Her reward was to become his representative at special events. On Friday's show of January 18, just a few days before the inauguration, Candace was advised to pack her bag while at work in her restaurant. She fell off the chair where she was Skype-ing with Anderson.
She appeared at the National Mall wearing a red, white and blue cowboy hat and her "Anderson Live" white coat with red, white and blue trim. She interviewed people who shared her enthusiasm. Later dressed in a beautiful blue dress, she attended the official Inaugural Ball and got to dance and have a great time. Anderson said that he did not even go to the Inaugural Ball, but was out on the Mall freezing. While she was talking about meeting Wolf Blitzer, her gum popped out of her mouth in front of Anderson and his co-host Judge Marilyn Milian. She was grateful to be a small business owner and meet the President and First Lady and congratulate them. She had a yellow press pass that she will cherish forever.
You can check her out at her Harlon's Bar-B-Que, the shop she owns in a Houston mall. See her Facebook page and give her a "Like." If you like what you read, please click on the "Subscribe" button above, and you will never miss another post from this Examiner. Thanks!
