An Anderson Cooper Bigfoot scare recently occurred on live TV. The news host was shocked as something resembling the mysterious monster crept up behind him and his guest to scare the living daylights out of the daytime talk show host.
According to a Zap2It article on March 15, Cooper is seen on a YouTube video talking to Padma Lakshmi about "a gorilla or bear walking on all fours." Just then, a person wearing a Bigfoot costume creeps up behind Cooper and Lakshmi to provide the surprise of all surprises. The talk show host quickly springs up from his seat exclaiming "Whoa! Jesus!", with Lakshmi remaining seated. However, she admits "I think I peed my pants - a little" as the two laugh it off.
Cooper has certainly been in some interesting areas to cover the news, and has also suffered from the "shock effect" of Kathy Griffin's antics on their CNN New Year's Eve specials each year. However, it's rare to see him jump up out of his seat like this (see YouTube video). Then again, most talk show hosts might get startled if they thought Bigfoot decided to drop by for an interview.
Unfortunately for fans of the Anderson Cooper daytime talk show, they won't be able to see any other surprises like this in the future. The show was canceled after its second season, and will end this coming Summer. Viewers in Roanoke can watch "Anderson Live!" on local ABC affiliate station WSET 13 at 9 a.m. EST.
