And to think we elect these bozos!

The hypocrisy of politicians
The hypocrisy of politicians

Harry Reid…what can you say about Harry Reid? Has there ever been a Senate Majority Leader so out of touch with reality, or maybe I should ask…more out of touch with sanity, than Harry Reid? My Jewish friends use a word, "schleper" to describe someone who is inept or stupid. I'd go one step further by suggesting that if a bird was transplanted with Harry Reid's brain, it would fly backwards!

From the podium of the Senate we the people have been subjected to lectures by Reid that range from stupid to ridiculous, which though made to the Senate members, are really directed to We the People…

"Obamacare Enrollment is Low because People are Too Stupid to Know How to Use the Internet"

Rather than admitting that Obamacare was as screwed up as Hogan's Goat Reid opted to blame everyone BUT Obamacare, the Senators who voted for it, the implementation fiasco, the lies perpetrated on the citizens about keeping their insurance if they were happy with it, and all its shortcomings and failures. Reid in a furtherance of his "oratory brilliance" blamed We the People for our lack of intelligence as the reason the deadline for sign-up had to be extended.

"Despite all that good news, there's plenty of horror stories being told. All of them are untrue, but they're being told all over America."

I believe Mr. Reid had been drinking too much Nevada cactus juice or smoking peyote when back at his residence in Nevada. He obviously, like most politicians is out-of-touch with We the People, particularly to the millions who have lost their insurance due to Obamacare. Calling Americans liars and blaming the Koch Brothers for "ginning up the public" about Obamacare is uncalled for.

The facts are blatantly obvious to anyone with an IQ above 1, that Obamacare was sold by deception and lies by the President and the Democrats (they own this bastardize piece of legislation no matter how hard they try to run from it). Remember when they told us how necessary it was that "we provide the 40-45 million uninsured" with a health policy and that it would lower everybody's health insurance cost $2500 a year? Last week Obama and the Dems did an End Zone Celebration about 7 million signing up (That's signed up NOT PAID FOR, by the way) on the government website but they fail to mention the 14 million who have lost coverage.

Of the boast Obama makes about the millions who have signed up, nary a mention that 4.5 million of the seven million actually signed up for Medicaid… that's We the People paying for it through our states. We have 330 million people in the U.S. and 7 million hardly makes a bump in the road compared to the total number of folks living in America. I had a conversation on Friday with an insurance friend of mine who has written over 350 healthcare policies under the new law, and he shared the fact that on nearly 90% of the paid for policies he has written, the premiums were far higher for those who had lost their policies and had much higher deductibles; but that the premiums were being subsidized to the tune of 80%...that again means We the People are picking up the cost.

“I don’t know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican, okay? Do I need to say more?”

Other words of wisdom from Reid that belies the facts and displays complete ignorance, like other Democrat politicians (along with the likes of charlatans Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Sheila Jackson Lee, and others), that they profess the Democrat party to be the salvation of the minorities, and the Holy Grail for deliverance from the evil conservative policies espoused by their opponents. Their inability to read and digest the data that with over $20 trillion dollars being wasted on Democrat inspired social programs from Johnson's War of Poverty to Obama's Raw Deal on Taxpayers, we still have the same number of folks wallering around the bottom rungs of the economic ladder as we had back in the 1960's. In fact, federal and state welfare spending, adjusted for inflation, is 16 times greater than it was in 1964, and growing every year. Don't you think we should try something new…maybe give a conservative idea a chance?

"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Albert Einstein

"Is $80 billion of personal wealth for the Koch brothers enough?"

Often hailed by his staff as "a strong leader who speaks his mind in direct fashion," Reid continues to add insult to injury as if he is vying for an honorary recognition from the staff of the Darwin Awards. Besides the above quotes from his bully pulpit, he castigated Dr. Bill Frist, former Senate Majority leader, when he announced he was leaving the Senate to fulfill his term-limits pledge, charging Frist had "no institutional integrity" (meaning loyalty to the Senate)…seems he forgot a Senator's loyalty is to his constituency, not the Senate.

Now he's after the Koch Brothers. But here he goes way overboard in his absurd rhetoric as do all Democrats who chastise the Republican Party as "the party of the rich", and the media never challenges that claim. Well it is about time everyone have the facts!

In answering his own question, Reid smugly proclaims, "I think most everyone would say yes, it's enough. They want more (meaning the Koch Brothers). They're the richest people in the world. Individually they're only fifth. Put them together they're the richest in the world." My God, can these idiot politicians ever get their facts right?

Let's first start with "the richest family"…it's the Waltons! (From the Forbes International Billionaire List)

  • 9. Christy Walton and family: $38.0 billion
  • 10. Jim Walton: $35.6 billion
  • 11. Alice Walton: $35.1 billion
  • 12. S. Robson Walton: $35.1 billion
  • 305. Ann Walton Kroenke: $5.0 billion
  • 367. Nancy Walton Laurie: $4.2 billion
  • Walton family total: $152.0 Billion (Koch family, David and Charles, only $ 81.4 billion)

Okay, so Reid has already proven he doesn't know a darned thing about money considering he doesn't consider the national debt of $17.5 trillion on the way to more than $20 trillion by 2020, much to worry about. It's no wonder he is so blinded by those with money. As Senator Everett Dirkson used to say, "A billion here…a billion there…and pretty soon you start talking about real money!" This seems to be the mantra of all in Washington DC.

By almost every measure, in fact, it's the Democrats, not the Republicans, who are the party of the rich. If you start with Congress itself, there are 269 millionaires among Congress' 535 members and most of them are Democrats. If you check out the list of leading campaign donations the big-money donors to the Democrats make the donors to the Republicans, and we'll throw in the Libertarians as well, look like pikers!

1. Fred Eychaner - Total contributions: $12.9 million
2. James H. Simons - Total contributions: $7.8 million
3. Amy Goldman - Total contributions: $4 million
4. Jeffrey & Marilyn Katzenberg - Total contributions: $3.5 million
5. Steve Mostyn & Amber Anderson - Total contributions: $3.4 million
6. George Soros - Total contributions: $2.6 million
7. Jon Stryker - Total contributions: $2.4 million
8. Irwin & Joan Jacobs - Total contributions: $2.4 million
9. Anne Cox Chambers - Total contributions: $2.2 million
10. Franklin Haney - Total contributions: $2.1 million

According to, from 1989 to 2014 rich donors gave Democrats $1.15 billion — $416 million more than the $736 million given to the GOP. Among the top 10 donors to both parties, Democrat supporters outspent Republican supporters 2-to-1.

So, let's get back to those terrible Koch brothers who Reid claims are seeking to control America politics? They rank only 59th on the list of big givers. They don't even hold a candle to money donated by 18 big unions and behind the number one donor Act Blue, which has raised, as of Sunday afternoon, April 4, 2014, a whopping $486.5 billion over the last 10 years for liberal politiciasn and policies!!! What hypocrisy of Reid and the rest of those bozos. In his book, The New Leviathan, David Horowitz claims donations to Democrats outstrip those to Republicans 7-to-1. How can this be? Democrat support soars when you include unions, universities, superPACs, nonprofits, left-wing interest groups, and — ready for this? — Wall Street overwhelmingly favors Democrats…and don't ask me why!

The fact is, and Harry Reid is dead wrong, Democrats don't really want to restrain money in politics; they just want to kill the money that goes to Republicans. As our middle class income has plummeted since 2008, I hate to beat a dead horse, but when are people going to wake up to the fact that policies of those in power are killing America. Voters need to stop listening to the lies. Since 2008, the number of people who call themselves middle class has plunged from 53% to 44%, according to a new survey by the Pew Research Center.

For the middle-income group, the “lost decade” of the 2000s has been even worse for wealth loss than for income loss. The median income of the middle-income tier fell 5%, but median wealth (assets minus debt) declined by 28%, to $93,150 from $129,582. During this period, the median wealth of the upper-income tier was essentially unchanged, while the wealth of the lower-income tier plunged by 45%, albeit from a much smaller base, to $10,151 from $18,421.

The hatred for the Koch brother is so pervasive among the far-left, that unions are actually protesting New York Presbyterian Hospital for accepting a $100 million donation from the Koch Brothers to build a new wing on the hospital–even though the money will create union jobs and help the people of New York. As Forest Gump said, "Stupid is as stupid does", and those involved in the protest are about as dumb as you can get. The Nurses’ Association, the SEIU, and the NAACP in protest argued that the money should be returned because it’s Koch money. Can't get much more stupid than that!

So please, enough of this gibberish about Democrats being the party of the little guy, for caring for people, and that they are the party of good intention.
