With the snow behind us and 50 and 60 degree temperatures back in the Arkansas weather mix, it's time for the horses to run. Racing season starts this weekend at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs.
If you haven't been yet, it's really a fun experience. The excitement of rooting for your favorite horse and jockey is thrilling. It's also interesting to look at the different names of the horses and to study their track records.
Opening day is Friday, Jan. 11 with the first race slated for 1:00 p.m. Saturday races start at the same time and it will be .50-Cent Corned Beef Sandwich Day, a fine tradition. Sunday's action starts at 1:30 p.m.
Win! Place! Show!
