And the winner is… Best Supporting Actor

The Academy Award for the Best Supporting Actor is Christoph Waltz for his role as Dr. King Schultz in Django Unchained!

The award is Christoph Waltz's second golden statuette from the Oscars. His first Oscar win came from the astounding performance as Col. Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds. Both of his winning performances came in a role written and directed by Quentin Tarantino.

Django Unchained showcases Waltz in a supporting role to Jamie Foxx's Django. Dr. King Schultz has his driven performance as a bounty hunter who eventually helps Django become a hunter killer. Though his biggest reward comes from his assistance in helping Django search his long lost wife. Christoph Waltz's best scenes come when he stands head to head against Leonardo DiCaprio's Calvin Candie.

Christoph Waltz wins the Best Supporting Role over the likes of Robert De Niro (Silver Linings Playbook), Tommy Lee Jones (Lincoln), Phillip Seymour Hoffman (The Master), and Alan Arkin (Argo).
